Gulaabi
During her extensive travels across India, Mekhala was fortunate enough to call Jaipur home for a few months. The city and its rich heritage and culture inspired her to work on yet another project.
The architecture of the Pink City and the various crafts along with the intricate wall art spread across the city were her main inspiration for the Gulaabi collection, which means pink in the native tongue.
Hence, this collection is a reflection of the city's grandeur and rich motifs, which in themselves are an amalgamation of Mughal florals, Persian art and traditional Rajasthani paintings.
